You one rolling Stig?

Team, this is the first time I have ever seen more Subarus than Mitsubishi Evos in a Jamaican rally before....
While the entry list is short, it will still make for some great action.

Both days stages have excellent viewing spots, but the key is to get there early. I hear the stages have been rolled (i.e. very smooth) so cars may be able to drive on the stages in order to find excellent viewing spots. The problem with that once you do this you can't leave the stage until all the rally cars have passed through.

Remember sensible shoes (rain always falls on Saturday), adequate food, water, juice (I'll leave the type up to you) and umbrellas.

All the cars will be displayed in New Kingston this evening (last chance to see them clean and in one piece) for those interested. THere will be no action, they will only drive through the "Start" and park.

For those who don't know the final stage on Sunday wll not be in New Kingston, but instead will be on the waterfront.

Enjoy and be careful.

I went to Lydford on Saturday and must say that while I did love seeing all the Scooby's, this years rally was a pale shadow of what Rally Jamaica used to be. The WRC cars were nice to see but I would rather not see a WRC car and see 20 evo's and 20 scooby's tearing up the place. Jeff having mechanical problems also didn't matters as he can always be counted on for driving balls-to-the-wall all the time. I took a couple of pics at Lydford and the air strip. Hope you like them:

I saw you leaving out Stig..seems you weren't interested in the air strip stage at all.

Did you get any photos of downtown?

That was mad!

I was really looking forward to war between the Jamaican Foci and the visitors Scooby's but with Powell's crash and Jeff's car sick, that never materialized. I was also hoping to give the wife a good introduction to rallying.

What a disappointment.
