Well after we met up on the car accident.....certainly didnt have any Dover vibes either!! Myself another Leggie decided to go to Scotchie's and chill, while the other 3 Subbies decided to continue the journey unto the race meet. Cruised to Scothchies, and got there at about 9:30am of course dem nuh even open yet  Grin But wait.....a certain SOCOJ (thats drives a NA) who was leading the crew to Dover...ended up meeting us by Scotchies......di man dem lasss to r@ss!!!

So we sorry fi dem and ended up going to Dover in the end! It was a great day....sun was hott (good thing we had nuff umbrellas)....enjoyed watching the races!!

We met up with Spec and drove into kingston nice, easy and incident free - SOCOJ style!

Of course we didn't allow Spec to lead the crew.... biggrin

Oh yeah? ..... If yu don't know your way around the corners, on slick road conditions, and not using your own good judgement, its quite possible

I didn't get to check his back tires, but thank God he wasn't speeding for it could have been worst.

Although this wagon was wearing a set of Dunlops....only 3 were in good condition.....one on the rear was I would say 80% worn!

Does anyone know this guy? I tried to get a name from them at the scene of the accident, but by the time we got there, they were busy jumping in another vehicle to head to Dover.

Good to hear that despite the issues all were safe and sound....

Yeah - Mt. Rosser in the early morning is not fun, the early dew on the road makes it very slick.

I saw two accidents while going up and at low speed, the back of my car stepped out twice.... smile

I called and warned a couple of peeps...

Only saw Spec and Bones at the track; due to my role there - couldn't see much else anyway...

Bwoy, B - sorry to hear about the traffic leaving; we just waited until it subsided - problem with that is you reach home later...

Let me know how we can arrange delivery of my decal!

Peace.

The back tyres were about 80% worn, the funny thing about this guy is that he said approaching the hill he felt the back step out twice, and he was still squeezing. Happy that all the passengers got out just fine.  victory

Wife and child was in the car. Besides, the baby's car seat drew significant timing & boost.

Quite so Graham,  especially  when  one  is travelling from the country late at nights, guess we just have to change them regularly...

Points of note in my post you quoted:

Not an SOCOJ member

And the rules were mentioned as a precautionary measure

Therefore ....precautionary for me would be that we not rely on the postings on the site but also speak to them and remind on how a convoy operates especially for persons who join the group on the way.

The accident did not happen in the convoy .... the convoy was rather disciplined  hi

Our Convoys are always disciplined, and our usual convoy leader occasionally lets us have a little fun, so its not that boring when we travel especially with Stigmyster leading.

What you need to do next time we have a roll-out is to participate. You can then decide if your comments are valid.
