Thanks y'all. Sorry for the delay in responding (been very busy).

I know for sure that with this setup, I can do consistent high 11's and low 12's, and that will be my aim for the next meet.

Mitsuibishi turbos thrive on high boost so I intended to run about 27psi or so, but even with the upgraded solenoid, the stock boost control system wouldn't hold more than 23 psi or so. On the track, the car didn't feel as quick as it did immediately after the tune, so I figure the ECU might have pulled out some of the additional ignition timing that was added due to the extreme heat at Jamwest.

I'm thinking seriously about going the methanol injection route and adding a cold air intake and electronic boost controller.

I'll keep y'all posted

Go for the EBC G, and you will hold the boost.
Use the Greddy ProfecB Spec II.
I PMed you a few last week at great prices.
The Meth Injection is a solid do bro.
It will help where the heat soak causes the ECU to pull timing.
Go for them both.
All the best with teh next.
Cop the 12's for the team.

Thanks for the links bro, the prices were pretty good.

I'm gonna deal with the intake first. During the day I realise that because of the heat, the boost falls off to 19psi or so. At nights, it will hold 21-22psi. I figure a cold air intake will help make the boost delivery more consistent.

Gonna take your advice and go with the Profec B bro. Wanna sort out the intake first cause with the AEM shortram my intake temps are crazy high when stationary and don't cool down to an acceptable level until I'm well over 100km per hour. I think with a little re-routing of the intercooler piping I should be able to get an APS CAI to fit. Getting the intake temps under control should ensure that the ECU doesn't pull out too much ignition timing at the track.

I'll be satisfied with either the trophy or a high 11 second time slip  good.

12.5? I thought with the cars setup it should be running probably mid 11s. Isn't a stock tuned STi capable of high 12's?

From my online reading I've only seen one or two full weight STI's manage mid 11's with this set-up. Most of them do high 11's or low 12's, but I guess in ideal conditions with a perfect launch and perfect shifts, mid 11's is a possibility. As I indicated above, the stock boost control system would not allow Swiffy to raise the boost above 23psi or so (our target boost was 27-28psi) and I'm pretty sure that most of the benefits of advancing the timing were negated by the extreme intake temps.

I've acquired an Apexi AVC-R EBC and an APS CAI so I expect at least low 12's (maybe high 11's) at the next meet.
